For new people.

1. How do you change the picture associated with one's profile?
2. Is there a synopsis of messages that one could read up on to catch up with the gist of things?
3. How are the ranks determined?
4. Why lenticular?
5. In the picture of dude6935's profile- is the cat singing or is his tail caught in the door?

LOL, it's a cat playing with a ribbon. I like cats...

The "ranks" are based on the number of posts you have made.

You can change your pic in "edit profile" at the top of the page. Then you choose "change your avatar"

I'm not sure if there is a thread that is a summary. The threads with the most posts or the ones that are pinned (or stickied) are probably good places to start.

The lenticular shape makes ground handling easier. It is not effected by side winds as much. A traditional airship will be both pushed to the side and rotated by a crosswind. A lenticular airship should reduce both of these, especially the side movement. http://smallblimps.lefora.com/2009/07/16/the-lenticular-debate/page2/#post23

A lenticular may be easier to get into a conventional hangar. For the conventional shape, a barn like structure will do.

Swampie, look in the lower left corner of the white box, see 'upload files'. Use that to put images from your computer into the reply. Good posts, welcome to the forum.

Why is there not a login option at the top forum page?

There is a login in the top right of the first screen. Maybe your resolution pushes it off your screen or something.

Only the most active members are "privileged". There are about half a dozen out of 70 right now.

How did you all ( y'all if you're from Texas) arrive at the 7:00 PM time for the conference? Was that vote taken before I signed on?

Thanks,
