This takes me back to my country childhood, when Dad hitched Mom to the plow after the mule died.
LOL. I love the design drawing.
Harrya, welcome to the forum! I have no doubt the concept would work, but it begs the question of "why pull with a bike?". Why not use a truck or an ATV? I think such an approach would help prove a design is airworthy, but I think an airship needs to be self propelled to be of any practical or recreational use (over a hot air balloon, for example).
The trick is to ask your wife do you want to do one of two things - with luck she will pick the right one:
"do you want to pedal or ride?"
she " I will pedal, I am not going to ride that fool thing; it doesn't eve look like a real blimp"
or
"do you want to haul wood in the wheelbarrow or cut with the chainsaw?"
she " I an not using the chainsaw!"
I have been am very interested in human powered aircraft for years; particularly interested
in the helicopter efforts. The prize now stands at 250,000$ - thats real money.
