T-Shirt Sales

#0, by dude6935, 09 December 2010 06:47 PM

T-Shirts are ready. Regular sizes in white are $11, regular sizes in blue are $13. XXL in white is $14, XXL in blue is $17.

Shipping for 1 shirt is 5 dollars. Shipping for 2-3 shirts is 6 dollars. More than 3 shirts will be 8 dollars.

Here is the final image for the white shirt. Other images are in following posts.

Please send me a private message with the sizes and colors you want and your mailing address if you would like to place an order.

Got some art. It is in a pdf. I gave the guy two concepts to work with. It looks great to me. I just liked the party balloon concept better than the traditional concept.

Here is my other concept too.

Yah that is the only finished artwork. The other pic was just a concept.

Might want to change the lettering.... from a distance, people might read it as "smallbumps" ?

I can ask him to shave the "L" a little so you can see the space.

Probly about $15. Shipping will be pretty small. It also depends on the color and size. White will be a couple dollars cheaper to produce than blue. Also, 2XL will be a couple more dollars to produce vs the other sizes. I will have a better idea after all the costs are known.

I like the original concept.  I think it should just have "Small Blimps" across the blimp and the web address in small letters below the graphic

An artsy touch would be to have blue letters where they are behind the blimp and black letters where they are past the sides of the blimp.

The concept in post #2 looks more like an action shot. I think it will attract more interest.

At GoDaddy   www.smallblimps.info can be gotten for $1.99 for the first year.... this way we can inform the public what it is all about.

I think .org is more of a non-profit title.

Ps: Still haven't heard back from eVenture yet about registration of an airship.  Will try calling.

I still think we need a working model to sell the idea. Venture capital is rare, and if anybody reads this forum, there is still substantial disagreement as to what the kit will be. A working model gets past that problem.

If I heard the interview with Brian Allen correctly, the White Dwarf came in at about $60k bucks. Nobody is going to invest at that level without knowing what they're getting.

T-shirts have arrived and are ready for purchase!

This is what I am thinking:

White Small - XL $11, XXL $14
Royal Blue Small - XL $13, XXL $17

Plus shipping. Shipping will be 3 dollars for a single shirt. And not much more for larger orders.

Orders of 5 or more shirts will get a 30% discount so you can sell shirts to fund your own project work.

My costs are a little over 200 dollars. I will keep the proceeds from sales until my costs are covered. Then... I donno. What should I do will the money after my costs are covered?

I will also keep 10% as an artist commission as per the logo contest. I also spend some money on google advertising every month, so I will also consider the artist commission as repayment for that expenditure.

So let me know how many shirts you want and where to mail them and I will send the shirts out. Then you can mail a check or call with a credit card number. Later I will have a website to handle orders, but that isn't ready yet. Use private messages if you don't want to make your address public.

I really like these shirts. They look good and wear well. It is the same shirt we use for our t-shirts at work.

And here is the royal blue.

Have you looked into using Paypal? It's very convenient. I'll want one shirt, XL, white. I'll PM my address when ready, you can PM me your address if you can't use Paypal.

Just noticed the logo at the top of the homepage. Dotting the 'I' makes all the difference. Don't know if it's too late to do that on the shirts, or if it already has been done.

I already dotted the "I' on the shirts. I think it is a significant improvement.

I have a paypal account. I just don't like the fees. I can take payment that way if that is your preference. PM me your address and I will ship, then you can pay me. I don't yet know what shipping costs will be, but I think I can use a flat rate box for the VI. That is only like 5 dollars, max.

The guy is going to email me the final image soon. It is just like the images posted, but with minor changes to the text to make it more legible.
